Most people in Virunga massif are ignorant of different problems facing primate. Raising awareness is extremely vital towards empowering and inspiring local communities to protect the endangered species from extinction.
The program is geared to support the students and researchers who want study primate ecology, demography and social organization. Not only do our programs educate local community the importance of protecting animals and environment, we do also run community development programs to provide local people with new alternatives opportunities to reduce over exploitation of forests and its resources. Forests like Nyungwe, Akagera, and Volcanoes National Parks are homes to various wonderful birds, primates, large mammals, reptiles, insects and varieties of plants.
Through the field study education program the students will deeply make observations on primate and ecosystem conservation. This program deals mainly with Schools, universities and high Institutions of learning worldwide.
